Witsday makes free daily browser games. Each has one short puzzle a day, the same for everyone, that takes a couple of minutes to play, with no account and nothing to download.

The games

Rewind: guess the year of five photos from history

Five real photos a day, from rockets and Moon missions to city streets, trains, old technology and Earth from above. Slide the timeline to the year each one was taken: the exact year scores 200, and each year off costs 8. After each guess comes the photo’s year, its story and its source. Live since 25 October 2026.

Ranked: put five things in order

A new ranking puzzle a day: tallest, oldest, fastest, most caffeine and more. Drag five cards into order; after each try the cards in the right place turn green and lock. Three tries, then the real numbers and the stories behind them. Live since 24 October 2026.

Ballpark: guess five numbers

Five questions a day with a number for an answer: how tall, how far, how many, how heavy. Slide or type a guess: the exact answer scores 200, and twice too high or too low scores 100. After each guess comes the real number and a fact about it. Live since 31 October 2026.

Quick facts

  • Free to play: every daily puzzle, challenge link and Party room. An optional Pro membership opens every Endless pack and the full Archive.
  • No account needed. An optional account (Google, or a code by email) adds leaderboards and keeps your games across devices.
  • Besides the daily, every game has Endless (play on with three lives), Blitz (ten rounds in two minutes), Party (live rooms for up to 12 players) and the Archive of past days.
  • A spoiler-free share grid, and challenge links that let a friend play the same puzzle head to head.
  • Rewind’s photos are public domain or CC0, from NASA, the Library of Congress, the US National Archives, the Dutch National Archives and other collections. Each photo’s credit and source show after you guess. Witsday isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by NASA or any archive.
  • Each Ballpark answer is checked against two independent sources, named on the day’s answers page once the day is over.
  • While a day is live, its answers stay on our server, so they can’t be read from the page.
